Hi, Greetings. I just read your post for the appraisal and verification of a six storey building and its strengthening to suuport a helipad and believe I will deliver great value to you doing the job. I am a professional civil/structural engineer and with over thirty five years experience analysing, designing and detailing reinforced concrete, steel and timber structures for residential and commercial purposes. I attach two files containing two sample projects for your perusal and evaluation. The appraisal and verification will be conducted against the design code you specify to estimate as built strength of the structure and what strengthening will be required. I will require that you arrange to get the strength mobilized by the concrete in the principal structural elements (columns/walls and beams) of the building using non-destructive testing like Schmidt Hammer, ultrasonic tests, etc. Thereafter strengthening works and the helipad will be designed to the appropriate design code. I will complete and deliver the job in one week working at an hourly rate of $150. Alternatively we can negotiate a fixed cost after I have perused the drawings of the existing structure. I am looking forward to receiving commission from you to implement the project.
