I aim to curate and publish a short fiction anthology as a companion book to the unscientific and superficial zoological memoir I have written. (the manuscript is currently being worked over by an editor). Half of the stories in the anthology will be mine, but I am looking for an additional 40-50K worth of animal themed stories. This is not ghostwriting; if your story is selected, you will be credited in the anthology and you will be paid. (a one off payment of 1 cent AUD per word, plus a potential bonus) I'm looking for original and entertaining, animal themed stories with a message. I've attached one of my stories, which will be included in the collection, to give you a feel for what might appeal to me. Maximum word count is 5000K. Reprints are okay if you own the rights. Send me your best, most polished, finished work. I'm not going to edit your story. I'll either like it and buy it or I won't. This is a very interesting and exciting project. As an unpublished writer it would mean a great deal. I have looked at your stories and the one attached and I like your writing style. My whole life I have been surrounded by animals so I have a lot of writing material waiting to be written and this will give me a reason to make it a priority. I grew up on books like Sue Hart's Tales of the Full Moon. It would be a privilege to add these 8 - 10 short stories.
