Hi. Sounds like a fun project; however, I can see a couple of complications. The first complication regards what is meant by 3 hours. Is that 3 hours given a street network with detailed weight statistics? If the problem is restated such that 'x and y are within z units of one another' then the problem becomes much simpler, but to say '3 hours' means finding the quickest route with speed limit , congestion, etc. statistics. The second complication is whether both of your datasets have location data; in particular, you did not mention whether dataset B has location information or whether these would have to be retrieved. Thanks for your consideration. -Don Alternatively, I could compute each one via Google. For this we can pre-compute a rough 3-hour radius from dataset A, and any hospitals within that area we'll send to Google's direction algorithm the two endpoints and get the time that way.
