Capacitive Touch Motor Control. This control will consist of two PCBs. One will be a capacitive 12 key touch pad, the other will be a high voltage relay control. I want someone to review and improve the current design on file. I am currently using the TP229 chip to control the capacitive touch sensing. I would like to switch to the Qtouch or similar method. Also the control needs to have any noise and electrical protection added to help improve the reliability of the control. The relays should have protection added to reduce arcing. The switching power supply should have protection from reverse EMI from the inductive load. The relays should be protected from multiple relays triggering at once using a logic gate circuit. I will provide current unfinished schematics and firmware. The current design is based off the Atmega 328p and would like to keep that design but we are flexible. Once the design is finished files should be ready to send off with BOM and manufacture with components. Final assembly will be done house. Control will need to meet cUL requirements.

As I see from the project the major technical abilities involve in handling TP229 chip, designing a logic gate circuit that can protect from multiple relay triggering, basic knowledge on relays vs motor controlling and a safety gateway which helps the complete power supply module from reverse EMI as the load is inductive. I had worked on above all said technical aspects not in one project but in a diverse environment and I made a quite clear holographic view on this project and its functionality I can even help you in optimizing this further. Software will be developed using "c" language. i have developed many project using 8051 Microcontroller also. Other alternative to your project is using an android app instead of capacitive keyboard. You can use any android mobile for controlling motor. i have already develop similar app for PUMP CONTROL. I can send you demo apk file for the same.

I can review your project for 500 USD, however I would strongly advise the use of a transistor based switch (IGBTs/ MOSFETs) over relays due to - emi reduction, switching speed, reliability. I would be happy to redesign your board and this would take more time. I normally use Infineon XMC microcontrollers, due to cost and the fact that they are optimized for power electronics / motor control applications. If a major code rewrite is required I would advise switching to this platform. Some of the XMC chips contain capacitive sensing inputs. I have 10 years experience in designing Motor Drive PCBs and I have a Ph.D. in Power Electronics and Machine Control. Thanks, Nico

Hello, I have extensive experience in motor control (BLDC and Brushed) and have worked a lot with atmel microcontrollers. It would be good to see you schematics for review. Any chance to replace relay with solid switches like MOSFETs or IGBTs? that will reduce the noises a lot, and easier to pass safety standards. Is the motor high power, high voltage?
