I am excellent welding power supplies design, high frequency transformers design, solar grid tie transformers, electrical vehicles design, circuits design, multi-channel LED Drivers, Regulated power supplies design with universal input to DC output, Audio amplifier, drives design, Filters design for harmonic analysis and Power factor correction, SMPS, LED drivers, DC-DC, AC-DC converters design, PFC interleaved boost converter, Battery management system, Battery chargers, UPS design, sine wave Inverters, solar grid tie inverters, Solar battery chargers and street light systems design from few watts to KW range using Buck, Boost, and Buck –boost, Interleaved boost/buck, Fly back Push Pull and H-bridge inverters. I have very good experience to design high voltage power supplies up to 50KV for capacitor charging power supplies using soft switching topologies. Hi. Interesting project. I congratulate you on your initiative. Your project is feasible to design it with something called joule thief and the list of components that will be used is adapted to the required size. The list of components could be: A transistor, a diode, a resistor, a capacitor and finally a small toroid. With this we will raise the voltage of a 1.2V battery to 9 volts to be used by the LED. Hello. I am already had experience in design led drivers for cree leds. And ready to start work on your project.

I think I can make a LED driver that size. The most efficient power converter, the one that uses a timer to quickly switch DC and get AC like voltage conversion will probably not fit, but I still check if very tiny ICs are available. Other than that you have your standard converters and they are pretty efficient too.
