Dear Sirs,
I refer to the above advertisement and I send here my application for the position.
I am a qualified Scottish Solicitor, notary public and Luxembourg avocat à la cour, currently non-practising. I qualified initially in Scotland and then I came to Luxembourg in 2003. My initial training was broad including daily court appearances, contract law, wills, immigration and conveyancing among others. Since then I had been practicing law (and I also had my own company for a year) until 2015 in Luxembourg. I concentrated mainly corporate law being involved in M&A, setting up companies, providing opinions and drafting memos. I became a senior associate in 2005 at Wildgen, Luxembourg, where I stayed for five years. I also set up my own company in Luxembourg providing training to lawyers on how better to write and draft in English. From 2005 to 2015, I taught English law at the University of Luxembourg both on the CCDL and on the undergraduate course. During this time, I completed my PhD in comparative medical law.
I decided in 2015 to start a medical degree which I am pursing currently in Sarajevo. I am in fourth year.
I believe therefore that the position you advertise could be very well suited to my profile and experience.
English is my first language and I am also fluent in French, German and Italian.
Yours faithfully,
Dr Edward HYSLOP, PhD
Doctor in law
