Investment Copywriter - Freelance The Successful Investor Group publishes highly regarded investor newsletters that are sold through paid subscriptions to thousands of people across Canada and south of the border (and even a few other places around the world). We have been in business for over 20 years and are in the midst of a growth surge having added 3 new publications in the last year. We are looking for good people who are energized by working for a dynamic, boutique investment firm. We seek an experienced freelance copywriter(s) with an investment background (please note this second point, we really do need someone with an investment background) who will assist us with a variety of big and small writing projects. Potential Projects (depending on skill set, experience and time available) • Write marketing copy for promotional emails • Write marketing copy for direct mail (letters, inserts, buck slips…) • Write for our website (website ads, floaters…) • Write new investment reports and update existing reports • Write for social media - Twitter and Facebook posts • Write for Google PPC ads • Ensure all content is optimized for search engine optimization Qualification Requirements • Journalism degree or equivalent • 3 years of related experience with a genuine interest in investing and or personal finance • Experience with all things marketing online - web, email, social, SEO… • Proficiency with Microsoft Word (experience with InDesign is a nice to have) • Experience with an online publishing is preferred • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented • Self-motivated, positive attitude and team player Please submit some unedited samples of your work to dthompson@[login to view URL] with your resume and cover letter.
