Hi there,. I am an industrial engineer with over 30 years in the manufacturing trade. I have laid out production plants in the past my latest being magnetic motor corp an EV prototype shop. I've designed 5mW a bio mass plant and a production facility called Medusa Plastics for clients in Mexico, I've designed body in white loading dock & assembly operations for an EV start up in India, a processing line to build and assemble a 14 foot injection molded boat, and I'm currently working a project for a production line to produce a consumer product, for a client in Turkey. In this current job I designed the product and the assembly line both. What I propose is this. Examine your design and learn how its assembled. (16 hours) learn production volume requirements, amount of units stored on site, stock levels, purchased components vs fabricated manufactured and the time it takes to make 1 full unit from raw to finished product, then how long each process takes. (12 hours) Determine the required production capacity and scale and select manufacturing equipment to facilitate the build efficiently plus 125%. (16 hours) I will then examine your site plan and layout the entire production floor (40 hours) I will design a building model to accommodate the production floor, over head cranes, racks, dollies, assembly areas and fixtures, paint shop, shipping and receiving, storage, comfort stations, and office areas.
