This project is to create a web site for a social group.

The infrastructure to use is the following:

a) A virtual server hosted under the AWS technology.

b) OFBiz.

c) Database: PostgreSQL.

d) An email engine and client.

Scope of the project:

a) Download the source in a computer with Eclipse for windows to allow for customization.

b) Deploy OFBIZ from the Eclipse software into 1) the local PC for testing purposes and 2) the AWS server.

c) Download and install PostgreSQL.

d) Create Base Data to allow OFBIZ to start.

e) Download and install an SMTP server and client.

f) Make two small applications. 1) One to allow to create classifieds. Users will be able to enter things that they want to sell. 2) Another one to allow people to post messages, photos and videos, with the ability to get replies from other people.

g) Explain how to setup advertisement (banners) in the website.

All of this must be accompanied with written and detailed instructions (including step by step and an explanation of possible issues while executing a task) Screenshot and error handling are paramount.

This written documentation should be provided before executing the tasks themselves, for review.

From my revision, some observations or questions may follow, which might lead to an adjustment of the documentation.

Once the documentation is completed (it might still require some adjustments during and after execution), the consultant chosen will have to execute the tasks sharing the screen with me and you must update the documentation as we move forward. This installation most likely will have to be done during a weekday, in the afternoon (UTC -5, Eastern Standard Time-US)

Bonus: After this website is up and running, and when a new version of OFBIZ or PostgreSQL is released, I will hire you to a) document how to upgrade them and b) install the new releases. This would be a separate project.

Also, before submitting your quote, please send me some proof of experience with OFBIZ and PostgreSQL and at least 2 references.

In general, I’m thinking on having this project live in 1-2 months, if possible.

The consultant selected will have to sign a non-disclosure/confidentiality agreement.

I am also submitting a questionnaire for you to answer, which will help me decide on the best consultant for the project, (besides the quote of course):

a) Do you have experience with AWS? What do you think about the performance and the cost?

b) Do you have an application developed in OFBIZ that you can show me and if I like it, share with me?

c) What do you know about security involved in a website developed around OFBIZ? What security holes do you know, and I should consider to make the website secure.

d) If I decide to work with you, do you have employees? Partners? Will you be available for questions via [Removed by Freelancer.com Admin for offsiting - please see Section 13 of our Terms and Conditions] in any given time during and after a few days of going live with the website?

e) Have you handled a website in OFBIZ with a huge number of users?

f) What do think about the multi language feature included in OFBIZ? Does it need any attention?

i) What tool do you use to share screens remotely?
