Hi my name is George Bouris. I suppose that float format of the audio data is in the range 0 to 1 or -1 to 1. Not that the range is important, but these are the most common ranges for float data. I can develop a library and a simple sample application that uses it, which will expose to methods: - One that accepts a single float value and returns the corresponding int16. - And another one that accepts an array of floats and returns an array of int16. If your project allows it, I can make this method to use unmanaged code - this will make it match faster. The class constructor will allow you to set the range, like: float2int16(float rangeLow rl, float rangeHigh rh) The library will compile to a dll.

I have plenty of experience working with raw data as well as converting data from one type to another (e.g. float->int16). My primary language of choice is C#, and I've written libraries before so there's no need to worry about that.
