You cannot use an I/O pin to power the EEPROM. The 24LC02 can draw up to 5mA during a write operation. The PIC18f67J60 I/O voltage high could drop as low as 2.4V when supplying that much current. That is below the valid Vcc range for the 24LC02. The 24LC02 will work erratically. regards, Jim

SCOPE OF THE WORK: I have programmed and designed hardware for PIC12/16/18/24/DSPIC33 and SAM chips. Have also worked with the 24LC256 and PIC16F67J50, so this is familiar ground to me. These EEPROM chips require a trick to write transparently across sectors. I can supply C code to manage this issue, and let you write an array to any address, regardless of sector boundaries.
