I am currently in need of a complete step-by-step compile guide for a cryptocurrency for Mac OSX project that when followed will leave a functional executable application.
The guide needs to include:
- steps to setup and configuration of the compiling environment (bash, Qt/Qt Creator, brew, macports)
- steps to patch and statically compile required dependencies (boost, openssl, miniupnpc, etc)
- steps to compile wallet daemon and Qt wallet using qmake and qt creator)
I currently have a compile chain that includes brew and macports packages (ie: autotools, libtool). Also I have compiled Qt Everywhere 5.4.2 statically and have seemingly compiled the static dependancy libs. However the resultant App file when executed does not run.
When executed from a shell using open, it failed to execute and returns "LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed for the application with error -10810". Not being native to OSX development I am unsure where to start to find where I went wrong in the process or if this is a nuance of the OSX environment that I do not understand.
Further details regarding the cryptocurrency and project files will be provided to those interested and upon request. This may also lead to potential future OSX related coding work, and or consultation regarding OSX specifics that may differ from the linux and windows platforms.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to participate in your project.
My previous work was to build a Bitcoin fork (v0.8.6 and v16.0) for all platforms (Windows, Linux and Mac). It was called Bitcoinold.
1. I had no problem building v16.
2. I redeveloped v0.8.6 to use up-to-date libraries (like boost) because I could not find the relevant XCode version for Mac
1. Could you please specify your cryptocurrency and its version?
2. Why do you want a static compilation?
I have a university degree in applied mathematics and information science. I have a 15+ year experience in software development.
Please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Sergey Tarasevich
