Right now located in Sweden, Uppsala, for studying purposes, I am a student who has a bachelor degree in foreign languages and now is studying for a master degree in Scandinavian studies. This programme is a full-time one hosted by one of the most prestigious universities in Sweden, Uppsala University. The reason I decided to go on such a path is to perfect my Swedish abilities, as I consider to have mastered English up to a very advanced level.
As regarding my translator experience, I volunteered at the Academy of Translations in May 2017 where my responsabilities were proof-reading of already translated documents and papers, correcting grammar mistakes, translating documents, among which some were school and language certificates; later in february 2018 I took part in a translation workshop "Swedish drama translated into Romanian", where me and my colleagues translated a Swedish play by Gustav III "Den ena för den andra". During the workshop, we were organized in teams, so this required cooperation with the members of my own team in order to choose the appropriate translation and settle for the proper language register. The final result was donated to the "Caragiale Academy of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography", whose students read the play, later even playing it on stage.
Though my translating experience may seem insufficient for some, I am very eager to work and devote myself to working in this domain.
