Assistant Content Designer 20-40Hrs/Week Long Term

We need someone who is Exceptionally proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Illustrator, sometimes InDesign) and who can take direction well. Must be reliable, organized, committed, and punctual. They will be working closely with our lead digital design and content creator to create content for a Magento eCommerce site, special projects for creating UI for customer facing tools, general graphic works for our company brand. We will be looking for both project and job based projects and also long term 20-40hrs week. Qualifications Must provide a link to your digital portfolio. Submissions without link to portfolio will not be reviewed. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suit software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), Word and Excel. Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communication or related major (preferred but not required) Experience using Magento (preferred but not required) Exceptional creativity and innovative skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong Attention to detail and the ability to be analytical and detail oriented. The ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and meet deadlines Responsibilities Expected to provide support to the lead graphic designer and creative team. working closely with project managers, developers, and art directors. Work with team leads to translate creative concepts into visual design by working with cross-functional teams to take ideas from concept to execution. working with project managers, design teams, information technologists, and content experts. Assist the lead graphic designer to finish all print, online, and electronic media projects. Assist with preparing marketing materials, building print layouts, providing creative input, and developing designs for promotional tools. Liaising and working cooperatively with other departments to ensure smooth functioning. Assist with creating templates, producing mock-ups, simple prototyping, improving the quality of existing graphics, and run user testing on our website. Testing designs for usability and quality Ensure graphic designs are consistent with our brand and style guidelines. Apply any design changes if/as requested by project managers/Lead designer. Provide final artwork-ready files based on supplied specifications. Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
