Model information :: Dear Smith, the paper this paper is working on 18 observation and on province, and teen employments page 325 . and in the paper the 2nd research paper in the page 214 there is (A general specification of model often used in in the literature is formulated as follows (e.g.: Neumark Wascher, 2007; Neumark, 1999 or Brown et al., 1982): ER = f (wmin, X) + e ) but in lebanon we dont have province and teen employment . plus my data is on macro-level so i think the model that suits my data could be either: 1) (employment / total population) = f( (minimum WAGE/ average wage ), t , a1 GDP ,a2 labor productivity , a3 (labor force/ working age profit)) + error + dummy dummy 0 : before 2007 the last increase dummy 1: after 2007 where demand side of labor market is presented by labor productivity and GDP and supply side by working age then if it is possible we can be done as linear and as logarithmic, so we can compare the results or we can use the difference in difference technique where in 2006 there was a war in lebanon pr 2004 where there was a political instability . or 2) we can use Employment = f( (minimum WAGE/ average wage ), a1 GDP ,a2 labor productivity , a3 (labor force/ working age profit)) + error in addition we can also add a part about ration of employment to working age population so we can talk about the economy to generate jobs. N.B: the average wage data about lebanon is found on the data world bank regards, see the file name " bakeretal99"
