In the setup, a LIDAR is placed on the side of the road. It scans all the vehicles passing and generates raw data that is angle (angle of hit) and distance. This data has to be recorded and plotted (combined) to generate a side profile of the vehicle. Certain parameters also have to be captured like axle count, height, length etc.
