For a bridging period of 6 months, we are looking for a System Administrator with experience in Veeam Backup and Vmware ESX. The project takes place in Switzerland and is with a large asset manager. Remote is possible, but also on sit. It must be clarified whether if remote from abroad is possible. Languages: English fluent, German good. It would be best if there is someone who could come to Switzerland for the 6 months, or who can come to Switzerland from time to time. Currently have two different systems and looking to decommission the old one (which is on site). The new systems are hosted with OVH Cloud. Former employee did not setup the systems correctly and need a plan on how to properly proceed with a plan configure the environment with OVH Cloud and move remaining virtual machines off of old system. Current environment consists of Dell R720 and MD1220 storage devices running TrueNAS and M620 and M630 servers. Looking for someone to look over both environments and make recommendations on how to proceed, which will lead to future projects. Working knowledge of troubleshooting and performance optimization is a plus, as this could lead to future projects.
