well... I don´t see the point of closing the contest before deadline... Even if you think you found your winner it doesn´t hurt to have more designs to choose from... Maybe he doesnt want people to work for nothing when he is 100% happy with the design.?

I'm really confused as some contests ends 3-4 days before the deadline and results of some kept pending for weeks. Forget about winning, it's really frustrating and my take is most freelancers like me start loosing interest in such contests. At least the contest should me marked as "Closed" when the contest holder chooses a winner.

I see alot of people doing ROUND logos if you read my requirement. You will see I don't want a round logo. I have still yet to see a logo better than my original. I am hoping someone does something cool and creative soon =)
