We want to build a drone that is able to carry more than 50kg of weight to build an inner-city parcel delivery system. We accept all design concepts, quadcopters, fixed wing, solar power, gasoline, batteries.... any idea will be accepted.

Anything that will be needed to move the drone from A to B, you need to provide with your model entry... We will take care of the autonomous flying systems and will take care of connecting it to any controllers etc... that you provide. Right now, we need the design and total expected cost of the whole drone to produce/assemble, and what it should produce (even in paper), then if your entry is accepted, you will receive the prize, and then we will probably hire you by hour to assemble it and test it. Let us know if you have any more questions.

We appreciate every design regardless of how different or similar it is to what is in the market... We need a solution... which is to transfer cargo from A to B via the air... The design that wins is the design that makes the most practical and financial sense, whether it is an existing idea or a completely new idea.

Please note that this is an on ongoing project and can take any number of concept that makes commercial sense... so there will not be a 1 winner, if you have 2 concepts, we will be happy to explore both concepts and if both prove to be commercially viable for us, we will award the contender 2 prizes 800x2=1600usd and so on... we have no limit to the number of concepts we take.

Sorry for asking, but did you have any realistic parts list yet? Cause it doesn't matter how much calculation I've done, there's always a motor temperature issue or battery excessive load one, due to the weight requirements.

Hi..., This is an interesting challenge, I have a few doubts before starting out, 1 ) I need to know the exact maximum payload. 2) Max range of distance before returning back for recharge or refuel. 3) Expected budget for the project. 4) The kind of weather and environment you plan to deploy is helpful too.

  Hi Vignesh, thank you for your interest. We do not expect or push for anything specific... u have the complete freedom to innovate and try to approach the problem at your own pace... You need to build an proposal that is practical and commercially viable for us (even in paper for now). Cheap drones are good, but if proposal drones are expensive, then we will see if we will weigh the extra expenses against the extra features or benefits. Let us know if you have any further doubts.
