Pasture Pro Description

Pasture Pro is a Chrome app that enables agronomists to service their clients with basic needs. It consists of three streams.

1. Mapping

Mapping stream is set to enable the agronomist to locate a client's property producing an outline of it, name the property, locate paddocks, outline these paddocks and name each of them and the program will produce the area of that paddock in hectares. This will then be stored.

2. Recommendation Report

The agronomist will be able to do a paddock inspection of a client and identify any weed, insect, or disease that is in the paddock. The client is selected, the paddock name and area are put in, the selection of weeds, insects and disease are selected from a dropdown box. The herbicide, insecticide, fungicide, wetter and if needed fertilizer are then selected. The rate per hectare is imputed and the total quantity of chemical needed for that paddock is calculated by the app. Any notes needed can be placed for each chemical -such as any special precautions - along with general overall notes at the bottom. (this area has to have comments to save so that some individuality is ensured) This can be saved, printed and emailed.

3. Gross Margin Report

The aim of the Gross Margin is to give the client an idea on what he can expect from a paddock when he follows a program that is being suggested by an agronomist. The agronomist selects an appropriate season outcome for the year - low yield, high pricing, high yield - all of which have been previously imputed into a table and named. The agronomist will then select how to prepare the paddock - whether spraying, liming and/or different cultivations are needed. Whether the operations - such as spraying , spreading etc can be added - or left out if the client has his own equipment or doesn't want these included. The process continues with seeding, fertilizing, spraying for weeds , insects or fungus has to be done finishing with either harvesting or cutting for hay.
The resultant Gross Margin Report that is produced then has a summary table with income per hectare and total for this paddock at 3 various hay/grain price levels along with 3 various levels of yield levels. Each phase of production is listed along with costs and total variable costs.

Lists

There are a number of lists which are set up in the administration stage that can be added to and selected to enable the Recommendation and Gross Margin Reports be produced.
These lists include the Client list with some basic information such as name, address, phone and email. Separate lists of weeds, insects, and diseases for the appropriate popups. Herbicides, Insecticides, Fungicides and Wetters along with prices of each that are commonly used by the business are also in lists. Each list can be added to as product choices change - or can be added as a bulk by the administrator.
