We have a booming retail service business which restores outdoor timber/wooden decking areas that have been weathered and gone grey (see facebook.com/lovethedeck). We have a simple logo, but need something better and more modern and versatile. This project includes requires 2 types of logos - one 'banner' style and one icon style which can be used for facebook user/page icon.

We are a simple business and our brand must communicate high quality and attention to detail. Our customers get a 'wow' factor after we have restored their deck and our brand needs to (at least attempt) to communicate that 'wow' factor for future/prospective clients. We target the middle and upper-middle class home owners in Australia with good taste and expendable income. The logo must be monotone preferably so it can be used as white on black and black on white on a number of different applications including:
- website
- facebook page
- business cards
- large scale banners
- vehicle/truck windows
- hi-vis shirts and workwear for our contractors

One more thing (I swear :) I only need one entry for your design - no need to duplicate and give both white on black AND black on white - pick one and just enter that

For those entries that are 'banner' size, consider also including a smaller abbreviated square icon - ie banner might be 'love the deck' but the smaller icon size could be LTD

Please note any variations that are copies of another entry (ie 99/98) will be ignored and we will iterate with the original artist. Get creative and be original! For inspiration, look into brands in the luxury outdoor living / lifestyle space. Anything that's too feminine, has love hearts, cursive writing and looks like a hair salon or makeup brand will be rejected. Yes, we are targeting females as the primary buyer, but normally the husband has to be convinced on the amount on the quote! Hope all this helps
