This Intelligent Vision System (IVS) is part of the Robotic Arm Challenges. For this challenge, you are asked to design a system that will collaborate with a grasping system (separately designed) and a robot to pick items available in an Airbus Warehouse. The IVS should be able to recognize the items and tell the grasping system (GS) and robot how to pick them.

Click on the links below to see detailed design instructions, constraints and a solution template for this problem. Please ensure you also read the T&Cs of the challenge within the attachment.

Challenge rules:
The prize will be awarded for a technically feasible solution, submitted by the contest deadline.
A proof of concept should be attached in form of an image or a video to your entry as part of the submission guideline.
Only complete submission packages will be evaluated.

    Dear all,
    Please use our video, attached in test case.zip, to test your algorithm. There 4 objects, two are packaged with plastic, and two aren't. You can find videos in "learning input #.zip" to train your algorithm if necessary.
    Please show the "object to be taken" by differentiating it with another detected object, can be done by giving it a green dot for example. Also, attach the coordinate and picking orientation of the object.
    You can send the video of processed image/video along with your entry or write links to it in your entry comment section.

    IMPORTANT QUESTION:
    When the GS is not yet built and no information on the mechanisms included is available, how can someone code the instructions for grasping in the IVS?
    I believe you should exclude the grasping instruction part for now and add that when you have a working grasping mechanism.

      You can assume the GS mechanism on your own, you don't have to mention the details of the GS. It will be better to read the GS challenge to have a better understanding on what you can expect from the GS.
