Waterproof outlet

Please consider my version of the outlet design. According to your task, I have prepared two variants (thick and thin) I saved the main shape to maintaining the weatherproof rating. I have changed sliding switches to push buttons, that are hidden under rubber coating of the front panel. Screws are hidden by caps, easy to unmount. In my opinion, outer case and hardware must be designed together, for better productivity.

Very good! Be good if we can discuss back and forth on skype, then we can fix up a few final things. Still the best entry at this stage i think :)

and then the unit wired up - do you mean show the wire coming by wall?

Nope - you dont need to worry to show the wire

and the front section screwed to the back box - without the wall?

Yep so you fix the back box to the wall, then pull your wires through (side or back) and wire the terminals, then fit the front to the back, and do up the screws to hold the front and back together

Also, I propose to make screw fixation from sides - it is easier and will looks better from my point of view

    - the press switches on top look great! however, it seems like these should be rubber, or some soft material. actually we can only use hard PC becuase of the strong UV that it must endure (rubber degrades too quick in the sun). So just a small mod needed here then to make it so the whole circle can be pressed down.
    - remove the green colour, i think a lot wont like that. its also hard to make like that. change these parts to the same colour as the surround colour
    - could you make one that is plain cream, the whole thing? (similar to voltex current colour like you'll see on our website)

this looks great! couple things though to consider:
    - It needs a back mounting box, see the examples on the voltex website etc, where there is a back box, with conduit entries, (it dosnt need to make the product thicker, just split the current sized back) and then also the other type of back box that is much thinner, without the conduit entries. But it needs a back box which is fastened to the wall, and then the unit wired up, and the front section screwed to the back box.
